AAP slams Bikram Majithia for misleading people of Punjab over gangster issue
Chandigarh : Launching a scratching attack on SAD leader Bikram Singh Majithia, Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Monday dared him to clear his relations with drug lords and said that a ‘tainted’ leader like Majithia, who is out on bail in a drug case, has no moral ground to raise question over functioning of the Punjab government, which was elected by the people of Punjab with a landslide majority.
Addressing a press conference here at party’s headquarter, Punjab Chief Spokesperson Malwinder Singh Kang along with Chairman Punjab Water Supply & Sewerage Board Dr. Sunny Ahluwalia and spokesperson Advocate Ravinder Singh, said bemoaned SAD leader and said that those patronized drug smugglers, gangsters and mafia during their 10-year-regime, are now shamelessly questioning the statement of the CM of Punjab while backing the notorious gangsters.
He said that it shows that they are anti-Punjab and self-centric politicians who are somewhere associated with criminals.Kang dared Majithia to explain his relations with the notorious drug loards Satpreet Singh alias Satta, Amrinder Singh alias Laddi and that why he was riding with them in their cars when he was a minister during SAD-BJP regime in Punjab.
He said that to fill their own coffers, these leaders made college goers youngsters gangsters and drug peddlers. They spoiled the peace and harmony of the state. He said that it is amusing that Majithia is backing a notorious gangster’s statement and raising questions over Punjab CM’s statement. Leaders are unnerved that after the arrest of these gangsters, they will be exposed as they had sheltered them for years for their vested political interests.
He said that people of Punjab know that who patronized criminals and gangsters during their 10-year dastardly regime and destroyed the future of Punjab but now AAP government led by CM Bhagwant Mann is working dedicatedly to annihilate the criminals and recently launched a crackdown on gangster-culture and drug nexus to make the state again as ‘Rangla Punjab’.
He said that Punjab police have arrested over 400 gangsters/criminals, neutralized 02 gangsters, busted 105 gangster/criminal modules and recovered 385 weapons and 90 vehicles used in criminal activities in the past seven months.
