Back to School: DC Kishtwar visits various Schools in Block Chhatroo, conducts Special Gram Sabhas
Encourages parents to send wards to School, listens to grievances of locals
Kishtwar : Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar Dr Devansh Yadav (IAS) today visited various Schools of Block Chhatroo and conducted Special Gram Sabhas to encourage and motivate parents to send the Out Of School Children (OOSC) back to the School.
At Gourinallah Chhatroo, Deputy Commissioner conducted a Special Gram Sabha to encourage parents for the re-enrolment of OOSCs under the Back to School Campaign of the project Talaash.Enunciating the importance of education, the Deputy Commissioner stressed on parents to ensure that all the 70 OOSCs of the area are sent Back to School.
Gram Sabha passed a resolution exhorting parents to enroll their children back in school and those who do not comply will be de-prioritised for benefits of MGNREGA and other Government Projects.
Earlier, the DC also listened to grievances of people and assured prompt mobile connectivity in the area, replacements of wooden poles and transformers under RDSS scheme.
Meanwhile, at GPS Zella, a similar Special Gram Sabha was conducted and the resolution was passed by involving the parents of Schedule Tribe OOSC about the Back to School initiative.
The ZEPO Inderwal and other concerned were directed to ensure the smooth conduct of the special winter camps meant for OOSC under Back-2-School initiative of project Talaash in the zone Inderwal. The ZEPO assured for the same.
At the twin places, the DC distributed the Talaash Bridge course booklets and food items among the OOSC in presence of SDM, BDO, concerned officers and PRIs.He also interacted with the students enrolled in the Special Winter Camps and enquired about the education and other facilities being provided to them.
Besides, I-Cards were also issued to the members of Panchayat Youth Club by the DC Kishtwar.During the visit, the DC Kishtwar was accompanied by SDM Chhatroo Inderjeet Singh Parihar, Tehsildar Chatroo Suman Ji, BDO Tasleem Wani, ZEPO Inderwal Shakti Sen besides officials of other concerned departments.
